Refund & Cancellation Policy for caledonian complince limited

At Caledonian Compliance Limited, we pride ourselves on delivering professional, HNC-qualified electrical safety services. Because we operate an engineering-led schedule, missed appointments or last-minute cancellations represent a direct loss to our business.

1. The Booking Fee
1.1. To secure a time slot, a £25 non-refundable booking fee is required at the time of booking.
1.2. This fee covers the administrative costs of processing your booking, scheduling an HNC-qualified engineer, and performing pre-visit risk assessments. 1.3. Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, if you book our services online, you have a 14-day "cooling-off" period. However, by selecting a booking date within this 14-day window, you expressly request the service to begin within the cooling-off period and acknowledge that the £25 fee becomes non-refundable to cover administrative costs already incurred.

2. Cancellations and Rescheduling
2.1. More than 48 hours’ notice: You may reschedule your appointment to a new date without forfeiting your £25 booking fee.
2.2. Less than 48 hours’ notice: If you cancel or request to reschedule with less than 48 hours’ notice, the £25 booking fee will be forfeited to cover our inability to fill the allocated time slot.
2.3. No-Shows / Refused Access: If our engineer arrives at the G, PA, or ML postcode site at the agreed time and is unable to gain access (or is turned away), you will be charged an "Abortive Visit Fee" of 50% of the total quoted price (minus the booking fee already paid).

3. Refunds for Services Rendered
3.1. The "Reasonable Care and Skill" Clause: As per the Consumer Rights Act 2015, we provide services with reasonable care and skill. If you believe the service was not performed to this standard, you must notify us in writing within 7 days of the site visit.
3.2. Remedial Action: If a service is found to be deficient, our primary obligation is to re-perform the service at no extra cost.
3.3. Finality of Certificates: Once a PAT certificate has been issued and the data uploaded to your portal, no refunds will be granted. The certificate represents the completion of the professional service.
3.4. Failed Items: A refund will not be issued if an appliance fails its PAT test. You are paying for the test and the expert judgment, not a guaranteed "pass."

4. How to Request a Refund
4.1. All refund requests must be sent via email to admin@caledoniancompliancelimited.co.uk.
4.2. Approved refunds will be processed via the original payment method (Wix/Stripe) within 14 days.
